Moving Forward Again
Just a short note to let you know what’s happening in my world.
During the pandemic, I shut down this website to save money. Times were tough; I’m sure you all have your personal pandemic stories of suffering to tell. Times began to improve once I landed a long-sought teaching position with the Town of Woodstock (NY) Senior Recreation Program in January 2022. Once a second class was added in October, life was noticeably more relaxed. Now I teach 20 or more seniors a week; it’s so fulfilling to see their improvement. They are able to concentrate better, stand on one leg longer, feel stronger all over, and understand the workings of their own minds and bodies. Truly they are my tag line: look better, feel better, age better, be better. They are better.
I also began teaching online for MVP Health Care this summer. MVP is a fabulous non-profit that offers free classes to all who register. Jump over to my Schedule page for details. A new class is starting January 8, so if you’re looking for a class bright and early on Monday mornings …
To expand my offerings and help more discover the benefits of yoga as we age, I plan to begin an online class called “Yoga for Longevity.” We’ll learn and practice postures (asana), breath control (pranayama), and guided meditation (yoga nidra), in equal measure. Please let me know if you’re interested in participating; I need to know if this is something at least of few of you want. I’ll deliver on Zoom, and plan to teach twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Still working out the details.
Still practicing Aikido at Woodstock Aikido under Koningsberg Shihan four or five days a week. I’m testing for first white belt December 2. This year I finally learned the 37-move Cheng Man-ching Tai Ji Chuan form, studying with Ashley Miles.
Let me know what’s happening in your world.
Live long and prosper 🖖🏻 !
